A reflective story on how your home, habits, and environment reveal your emotional patterns, self-worth, and alignment before your mind catches up.

I’ve been trying to understand something lately.

Not from my mind —
but from my patterns.

Because I’ve started to notice something about myself that I can’t ignore anymore:

My body will start doing something… long before my mind understands why.

And the place where this shows up the most?

My home.

The Pattern I Lived Before I Understood It

My entire life, I’ve always been surrounded by properties.

My family had multiple homes —
our main house, a cottage, and other properties along the way.

And even though my father would say:

“these are my properties”

I never experienced them that way.

To me, they were:
ours.
my mother’s.
my environment.

And without ever being asked…

I took care of them.

Not occasionally.
Not when I was told.

Constantly.

This Was Never a Chore

I didn’t clean because I had to.

I cleaned because I was drawn to it.

I loved:

  • maintaining the home
  • organizing everything
  • fixing things
  • rebuilding spaces
  • making everything feel better

It became second nature.

And looking back now, I realize:

This was my form of meditation.

My body would be fully engaged —
cleaning, restoring, moving, building…

And my mind?

Would drift somewhere else.

That’s where my thoughts would process.
That’s where ideas would come in.
That’s where I would figure things out.

The Moment It Shifted (My Mother)

When I was younger, I watched my mother clean the house.

And something in me didn’t sit right with it.

Not because cleaning is wrong…

But because I felt like:
she shouldn’t be the one doing it.

Like it lowered her somehow.

So I started helping.

And then somewhere around 14 or 15…

I took over.

Completely.

The Cottage — My First Real “Classroom”

When we got the cottage, everything expanded.

That became my space to learn.

And I did everything:

  • cutting the grass
  • building gardens
  • planting flowers
  • removing soil
  • washing windows
  • deep cleaning every corner

No one told me to.

I just… did it.

And I loved it.

It never felt like work.

It felt like:
this is mine to take care of.

What I Didn’t Realize at the Time

Now I understand something I didn’t see back then:

That was my love language.

Not words.
Not gifts.

Care. Through environment.

To me:

If I clean the space → I clear the energy
If I organize the space → I organize my mind
If I elevate the home → I elevate my life

The Business That Came From It (This Part Matters)

This is also where my entrepreneurship came from.

Because the same way I cared for those homes…

I eventually did it for my own.

My condo in downtown Toronto:

  • ~460 square feet
  • one bedroom
  • two cooktop burners
  • nothing “luxury” on paper

But I didn’t treat it like a small condo.

I treated it like an experience.

I turned it into an executive rental — fully furnished, designed intentionally for people staying a month or more.

And I didn’t cut corners:

  • custom storage
  • intentional design
  • updated paint, accents, finishes
  • continuous improvements

I kept evolving the space.

And here’s where the pattern shows clearly:

I wasn’t just upgrading the home…

I was upgrading my self-worth at the same time.

The Results (Now It Makes Sense)

When I first listed it in 2019:
→ $2800/month (long-term furnished rental)

My mortgage?
→ ~$1100/month

Then as I upgraded:
→ $3200/month
→ then eventually $4800/month

Same 460 sq ft condo.

No changes in size.
No major structural changes.

Just:
energy, detail, intention, and belief in value.

And it worked.

For 5 years:

  • 5-star rating
  • Superhost status
  • consistent long-term bookings

That condo didn’t just house people.

It generated income, stability, and expansion.

And I ran my entire real estate business from… homes.

My parents’ house.
The cottage.
My condo.

Homes were never just homes for me.
They were my workspace, my creative space, and my energetic anchor.

The Part About My Father (That Changes Everything)

Now here’s the part that matters.

Because without this — the story doesn’t land properly.

I didn’t do all of this for my father.

He didn’t understand it.
He didn’t appreciate it.

And if anything…

There was a disconnect there.

But my mother?

Everything I did was for her.

So she could:

  • relax
  • cook
  • bake
  • enjoy the home
  • not carry everything

The Part I Didn’t See While I Was Living It

Because on the outside, it looked like:

  • I was consistent
  • I was disciplined
  • I was responsible
  • I was doing everything “right”

But internally?

There was a quiet tension I couldn’t explain.

Because while my body wanted to nurture, care, and create a home…

There was another part of me that was always watching.

Calculating.
Assessing.
Holding everything together.

The Astrology That Explains the Split

If I break this down simply:

  • My Cancer 6th House
→ how my body operates: nurturing, caring, creating emotional safety through environment
  • My Capricorn Moon
→ emotional responsibility, structure, survival, holding everything together

So what does that look like in real life?

It looks like this:

I wasn’t just taking care of homes because I loved it.
I was also taking care of everything… because I felt like I had to.

Love vs Responsibility (They Look the Same… Until They Don’t)

Because from the outside:
Cleaning, maintaining, holding everything together…

Looks like:
→ discipline
→ strength
→ reliability

But internally, it can also be:

→ pressure
→ obligation
→ silent roles you never consciously chose

And that was my reality.

Why My Mother’s Passing Changed Everything

When my mother passed away in 2020…

It didn’t just remove a person.

It removed:
the reason behind my actions.

Because my Cancer side was expressing love through care.

But my Capricorn Moon?

Was holding everything together for a reason.

And when that reason was gone…

That structure collapsed.

The Moment Everything Lost Meaning

The same properties I once loved maintaining…

I no longer felt connected to.

I tried to continue.

Tried to clean.
Tried to maintain.

But my body didn’t respond the same way.

And now I know why:

My purpose inside those homes was tied to her.

And when she was gone…

That version of me was complete.

The Leaving Phase (And Astrology Kicks In)

So I left.

Not logically.

Energetically.

I started studying my astrocartography…

And everything pointed to Montreal.

So I followed it.

When Your Body Rejects a Space

For months, I didn’t feel at ease anywhere.

  • my sister’s house → no peace
  • temporary spaces → no connection
  • even “nice” places → nothing

And I kept trying to explain it logically.

“It’s not mine.”

But that wasn’t it.

Because I started noticing a pattern:

In certain homes:
→ my body wanted to leave immediately

In others:
→ my body wanted to fix, clean, build, organize

What Homes Reveal (If You Pay Attention)

I started reading homes the same way I read people.

Because they’re the same.

Clutter = blockage
Chaos = internal overwhelm
Over-attachment = fear of release

And me?

I release everything.

Because I’ve learned:

The more I let go → the more space I create → the more abundance comes in

The Triplex (The Full Circle Moment)

And then… the triplex.

The one I always imagined as a kid.

Not a house.

A triplex.

Very specific.

And somehow…

It became available.

March 1st — I got the keys.

And the place?

A complete disaster.

And without thinking…

I went straight into it.

Cleaning.
Rebuilding.
Restoring.

Not just my unit…

But the energy of the entire space.

The Moment It Clicked

And then one day — just a regular clean —

It hit me.

This is what I was missing.

Not the home.

The feeling of caring for something that feels like mine.

The Part You Might Not Want to Admit (But You’ll Feel It)

Let me ask you something — and answer it honestly:

What are you doing in your life
that looks like love…

but is actually responsibility?

Where have you convinced yourself:
“I enjoy this”

when really…

You’ve just gotten used to carrying it?

Because Here’s the Truth Most People Avoid

Just because something comes naturally to you…

Doesn’t mean it’s coming from alignment.

Sometimes it comes from:

  • survival
  • roles you stepped into too early
  • patterns you learned in your family

And Here’s Where It Gets Even More Honest

Take a look at your environment.

Your home.
Your space.
Your daily habits.

Ask yourself:

  • Does this space support me?
  • Or am I constantly fixing it?
  • Am I creating here?
  • Or am I maintaining something that no longer feels like mine?

Because your environment will tell you the truth
before your mind is ready to hear it.

The Real Question

What does your body do…

when you’re finally in a space that feels right?

Not what you think.
Not what you plan.

What do you automatically start doing?

Because that response?

That’s alignment.

Final Thought

I used to think home was something you build.

Now I know:

Home is something your body recognizes —
and your patterns reveal long before your mind understands it.
